A dance family business.
Generations in the making.
Belle started at the barre, not in a boardroom. Named by a second generation ballet dancer and built with her parents, Belle is a Grade 5 homeschool passion project turned international family business.
Our family spent years watching our young dancer go through pair after pair of tights, watching how quickly a ladder could end a barely worn pair and asking the same questions:
Why do ballet tights use the same virgin petroleum, non-renewable materials as fifty years ago and still not last?
How could we design better performing, more comfortable tights while reducing our impact on the environment and parents’ wallets?
Our family’s response to those questions is bio-based tights that are more comfortable, perform better, last longer, and offered direct-to-consumer for the lowest possible price.

Our tights are knit seamlessly in the renowned hosiery district of Castel Goffredo, with the same machinery and generational craft that supplies the finest hosiery houses in Europe. Their expertise costs more than a mass-market mill elsewhere, but we know that your dancer and our tights are worth it.
