Alejandra Iannone, modern guest artist, is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who was born and raised in Connecticut. Before relocating to the Twin Cities, she danced the featured role of “Columbus Circle Ballerina” in The Ride, a 2013 New York City Drama Desk Award Nominee for “Unique Theatrical Experience.” A versatile performer, she has danced soloist and ensemble roles in works by Sidra Bell, Christopher Huggins, Ronald K. Brown, Elisa Monte, Pascal Rioult, Take Ueyama, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Donna Salgado, and Alvin Ailey. Favorite venues have included the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Jacob’s Pillow’s Inside/Out Stage, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, and the Versace Mansion. She is a former faculty member of the Ailey School’s Junior Division and an ABT® Affiliate Teacher certified in Levels Primary through Three of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Alejandra is an honors graduate of the Fordham University/Ailey School B.F.A. program and holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Temple University, where her research focused on Philosophy of Art.
Jesse Schmitz-Boyd, jazz, lives in St.Paul and holds a B.A in Dance from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. At UWSP, he danced featured roles in Susan Marshall & Company's Other Stories and Billy Sigenfeld's God of Dirt. Jesse toured with Chicago based RE|Dance Company. Locally, Jesse has performed with Off - Leash Area and Time Track Productions. His choreography has been presented at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, The Ritz Theatre and Movement Arts Day (Eau Claire, WI). Currently he teaches at several area studios including Zenon Dance School, Children's Theatre Company and Ballare Teatro. In his free time, Jesse enjoys science fiction television, gummy worms and croquet. This is Jesse's fourth season with Alternative Motion Project.

Kyra Beth Peterson, guest artist, contemporary dance. Currently Kyra is in her second year of studies at Columbia College Chicago as a Presidential Scholarship recipient working towards a BA in Art Direction. Kyra has performed in six works on The Dance Center stage of Columbia and recently premiered her work Two and I. This past year Kyra joined emerging Chicago company Project Bound directed by Ashely Deran and Ericka Vaughn Lashley for their 2015 season. Her dance film "RUN" was recently presented at the 2016 IN/Motion Dance Film Festival at Loyola College Chicago.
Anneke DeJong, guest artist, hails from Minnesota. She has spent the past several years studying with Gelsey Kirkland in New York. She recently danced as a member of the St. Paul Ballet Company and is now a company dancer at Metropolitan Ballet. Anneke has most recently continued her studies at Texas Christian University and Open World Dance Foundation in NYC.
